Gamer Olympians, grab your plasma guns

The World Cyber Games were held in San Francisco this week. My colleague Dave Becker has a good story and photo gallery today. These are the kind of things it's easy to dismiss, until you really sit down and watch these kids play and realize there's a level of hand-eye coordination and discipline and flat-out talent that is very real, and breathtaking to watch.

Yes, they make tens of thousands of dollars playing games. So do football players. They're also driving the advance of fast computers, graphics technology, and broadband adoption around the world.
