'Game of Thrones' opening sequence gets a VHS-era remix

First there was a '90s-era reimagining of the GoT opening. Then there was was an electronica version of the theme song. And now...

In 2013, YouTube artist and videographer Hunter L Sanders created a fantastic VHS intro video for "Game of Thrones" that reimagined the series' opening sequence as if it were from a 1990s-era HBO show. Earlier this week, Russian musician Steve Duzz made an '80s-style electronica remix of the "Game of Thrones" theme song, which inspired animator Mikolaj Barek to remake Sanders' VHS Intro with Duzz's music.

After some cutting and splicing of both Sanders' video and Duzz's music, Barek treated us to what might be the best "Game of Thrones" intro video we've seen thus far. The video and background music really capture what the series would have been like if it were made in the VHS era of the '80s and '90s. Check it out for yourself at the top of this post, and then try to forget that season 5 is so agonizingly far away.
