'Game Of Thrones' causes droop in porn consumption

Would he find it mortifying that the show is so powerful?
"Game Of Thrones" excites me about as much as someone plucking each of my eyebrow hairs by hand.
I know, though, that many adore the HBO fantasy series.
I also know that one of the show's stars, Ian McShane, describes it as just "t*** and dragons."
There does seem to be a frightful number of gratuitous sex scenes in the show, which might make some wonder whether it actually affects people's porn consumption.
Perhaps it even constitutes some people's porn consumption.
Thankfully, the sensually analytic minds at Pornhub decided to see whether the Season 6 premiere, which aired last Sunday, had some affect on its normal traffic.
Lo, it beheld that there was a sudden dip in the US at 9 p.m. of 4 percent.
This might seem like a small percentage, but it's a lot of people when you consider the site has more than 60 million visitors every day.
Moreover, in the run-up to the show, fans -- or merely strange people -- prepared by performing 370 percent more searches for "Game Of Thrones"-themed acts of carnal conflagration on Pornhub.
It's not for me to judge your daily habits, nor your weekly ones.
I fear, though, that some might wish to suggest a certain correlation between those who watch "Game Of Thrones" and those who watch porn.
In Utah, however, I feel sure that the governor -- who recently declared porn a health hazard -- will be petitioning HBO to create three times as many "Game Of Thrones" episodes.
Now that is concerning.
