Dear Gadgettes,
A few weeks ago I laughed along with you as you made fun of the fuzzy, beribboned USB heating kneepads. I, too, thought they were both ugly and kind of pointless. But then, as I walked through Central Park the day after the “Blizzard of 2009″ just before Christmas, this Floridian had a change of heart. My long jacket covered my thighs, and my knee socks covered my shins, but my knees were freezing! At that point, for some reason, those stupid knee pads came to mind and I would have gladly strapped on the optional battery packs and sported the kneepads around NYC. Perhaps a new fashion trend?

PS: As I write this back home, the forecast is for snow early in the morning. Maybe I should have bought the kneepads, after all.

Love the show!

Hey, Gadgettes crew,

Molly mentioned the laser-etched Kindle cover that Jordan Nardick a.k.a. ASUdesigner made for me. Here’s a picture of it if you haven’t seen it.

It was great to meet so many of you guys in person at CES.

Best,

- Iyaz

Wha?! The best picture is the one on the lawn in broad daylight. Yeah, right.
