Gadgettes 143: The 'sit on it' episode
This week's episode is inspired by Natali's incredibly appropriate (if not unintended) comment from last week's episode. Really, if you haven't heard it, check it out. Then listen to today's show where we discuss a wide array of chairs on which to sit.

I know you won’t be able to read all of this on the show, but thanks for taking a look!
Upon hearing about The Man Wall in episode 142, I (like any good man) decided to figure out how much all of that crap would cost to DIY.
First, here’s what’s listed on http://www.themanwall.com
52″ Vizio Flat Panel LCD HDTV
2 – 26″ Vizio Flat Panel LCD HDTVs
1200 watt Panasonic 5.1 Home Theater System DVD player with 5-CD changer iPod docking station
2 – Wireless surround sound speakers
Live 7-foot sports ticker with built-in computer
1 year free service for sport’s ticker
Full-size built-in beer refrigerated beer keg with tap [Ed. Who the hell proofs their copy?] 1000 watt microwave oven
2 cigar humidors (holds 25 cigars each) complete with gauges 32-bottle wine rack
$14,900 plus shipping
And here’s what I came up with:
55″ Vizio VF550M (I couldn’t find a 52″ Vizio) = $1597.00 (Walmart)
2 26″ Vizio VA26L = $347.00 x 2 (Walmart) Panasonic SC-HT940 (1200W 5.1, 5-disc DVD) = $368.54 (Walmart) EdgeStar Kegerator = $499.00 (Amazon) Sharp 1.2 cuft 1000W microwave = $109.98 (Walmart)
2 – 25-50 Cigar Glass Top Humidors = $31.49 x 2 (Amazon) Apple iPod Dock = $49.99 (Amazon) JK Adams 40-bottle wine rack = $69.95 (Amazon)
$3,451.44 plus shipping
That leaves $11,448.56 for custom cabinets, cabling, set-top boxes, better gear (why not ALL 52″ TVs?), etc.
Oh, and tooly 7-foot sports ticker OPTIONAL.
Thanks for the show!

I just wanted to write and let you guys know how much I enjoyed the extra-long, party-induced episode of Gadgettes last week. It was awesome – you guys should let yourself go off the rails more often!
I also thought you might be interested to know that Google analytics indicates someone visited my personal blog on Friday based on the Google search “do you think molly wood is sexy?” And, just so you aren’t creeped out by ME, the blog post does rave about Molly, but just in a regular “Molly is smart and awesome and a great role model for women” way.. also, to get a little more creeped out about the searcher, I just ran the search and clicked through the first 4 pages of results and none of those are my blog, so this guy was determined.

Morning Gadgettes!
The show with Natali was awesome! AWE-some!
In fact it inspired me to draw this: http://shealadraws.blogspot.com/2009/06/good-morning-gadgettes.html
Can’t wait to here the new segment.
My vote for the doorbell would have to be Devil Went Down to Georgia (He was looking for a soul to steal, he was in a bind, cause he was way behind and he was willing to make a deal). By the Charlie Daniels Band.
My reason for that would be to scare the crap out of the weekly Jehovah’s Witnesses that beat down the door. Is that too mean?

Hi, first time emailer to Gadgettes.
I was browsing through old Buzz Out Loud episodes because I was bored on a Saturday when I stumbled upon Episode 633, which practically starts out with Molly claiming that the FAA was in bed with the baggie industry for requiring Lithium Ion batteries to be sealed in baggies.
Considering that Buzz Out Loud just finished their 1001th episode at time of emailing, Molly’s hatred for the baggie industry does in fact, run deep. 527 days from January 2, 2008 deep.
