G3/BW and SCSI Umax scanner conflict

Confirming a previous report, Steve Peterson writes: "The new Blue and White G3/400 as it ships from Apple includes the Adaptec 2930U2B SCSI card. This card does not function whatsoever with the Umax Astra 2400S scanner. This has been verified by Umax. They recommend the Adaptec 2906 and 2930U cards." [See also TIL article #58256.]
