G3 Mac displays: dim and fuzzy? Apple is "aware of it"

John Mackay writes "We have 2 clients that have G3 Systems that are exhibiting fuzziness in the text. Several different monitors were involved. We have noted this issue previously on MacFixIt. John adds: "We have finally had a reply from Apple Tech Support saying they are aware of this problem and are looking in to it."

We continue to get reports on this issue, both for desktop and PowerBook G3s (although I suspect the two problems are unrelated). For example, Thomas Deliduka recently wrote: "On my PowerBook G3, if the screen dims or gets shut off after being idle for a while, it will come back dimmer than before. Even if I have the brightness up all the way it's still dimmer and I have to squint a little."
