Try this solution if you have no slideshow soundtrack.

Fix for no music in slideshows Yesterday we reported on an absence of music when attempting to play slide shows with Front Row for some users. It now appears that running a round of maintenance that includes clearing caches, rebuilding the Launch Services database and more -- a process offered by many utilities for Mac OS X including Cocktail, OnyX, MacPilot, and Tiger Cache Cleaner -- can resolve this issue.

One MacFixIt reader describes resolving the issue with the aid of OnyX:

"Repairing Permissions didn't seem to help but running OnyX 1.8.2 did the trick. After running all Maintenance scripts including Rebuilding LaunchServices database and rebooting, Front Row is now working correctly."
