Free NoSQL and data scalability cheat sheet
Understanding the big data landscape is an important part of embracing the latest NoSQL technologies. A new cheat sheet offers data scalability guidance.
NoSQL databases and associated operational-data technologies based on nonrelational approaches to data management and manipulation continue to be top of mind for big Web shops and are slowly starting to make their way into enterprise IT infrastructure.
This means that developers need to get a handle on the latest information about NoSQL and big data in order to stay on top of the trend.
Accordingly, developer site DZone just released a new Getting Started with NoSQL and Data Scalability reference card as part of their cheat-sheet library.
The refcard is a good primer to get you asking all the right questions about specific NoSQL implementations and to help you challenge vendor hype. Written by Eugene Ciurana, a legitimate large-scale systems expert, the refcard provides a good overview of what NoSQL and data scalability are about, and offers us a few basic tools to identify different NoSQL technologies and how to apply them. It's also a nice complement to Eugene's original scalability and high availability cheat sheet
