On a related note, we continue to get reports of Yamaha CD-R drives not working when used with certain Adaptec cards in G3/BW Macs: Adaptec 3950U2B and Yamaha CRW4416SX (Terry Kopecky); Adaptec 2940U2B and Yamaha CRW4260, as well as Microtek ScanMaker X6E (Jon Grushka). Update: A few readers have now replied that they use this combination successfully.
