For sale: a Cray Computer, starting at $400

A man is currently selling a partially complete EL98, a low-cost supercomputer from Cray. (Low cost in Cray's world means low six figures when new on Craigslist.)

"I purchased it four years ago from an Arizona warehouse; the manager of which *thought* that the Cray came from Lawrence Livermore. But given the repeated memory lapses he suffered from in casual conversation, I don't put a lot of stock in this recollection," the seller said.

The computer currently doesn't work and it's missing some key subsystems. However, the exterior is in good share and it's got a big red power button, the sort of thing that Henry Fonda always seemed to be reaching for in those political dramas of the '60s.

Bidding starts at $400.here.
