As we watched the video of Zapata's Flyboard Air, we noticed it seems to be turbine-powered. If the company's claims are to be believed, Flyboard Air could someday become a true flying personal transport vehicle.

We're also enjoying the video from Volocopter, which recently completed the first manned flight of its 18-rotor aircraft. Between this electric helicopter and true flying boards, the future of personal transport looks delightful (albeit a little short-lived, if flight durations are taken into account).
