CineFix has released the latest video in its 8 Bit Cinema series, giving us a taste of just how awesome the first two seasons of "The Walking Dead" would be as a retro video game.

Like the TV series, the retro retelling begins with Rick Grimes busting out of the hospital and hopping on a horse as he frantically searches for his family in the zombie-infested world to which he awoke.

The video takes us through the entire first two seasons of the series, from the time Rick found himself trapped in a tank to reuniting with Lori, Carl and Shane to finding, and having to suddenly leave, Hershel's farm. The only thing I don't like about it is the contest CineFix is running to "unlock" the video for seasons 3 and 4, which it says will happen March 25 if this video gets 10,000 YouTube likes.

Watch the CineFix video above, then hope that some game development studio tries to make this video game a reality. Because while there are hundreds of zombie games on the market today, there aren't any quite as zombie-tastic as this.
