See first screens from Disney's 'Big Hero 6'

Get ready for robots. These images give a peek at Walt Disney Animations Studios' plans for its first foray into the Marvel universe.

The geniuses at Walt Disney Animations Studios are working on their first Marvel comics flick, "Big Hero 6," and today we're seeing the first screens from their work.

If you've never heard of "Big Hero 6," you're probably not alone as it's one of the lesser-known Marvel series out there. "Big Hero 6" tells the story of child robotics expert Hiro Hamada and his robot Baymax, who, along with the rest of the "Big Hero 6" team, is charged with saving the fictional San Fransokyo from a criminal plot.

Based on the screens, we're excited to learn more about the upcoming movie. "Big Hero 6" is set to come out this November in theaters across the US, followed by a larger global release that includes Australia and other countries in December, and the UK in February.

Correction, 10:05 a.m. PT: An earlier version of this story cited the wrong studio for "Big Hero 6." It's Walt Disney Animations Studios.
