Far Cry 3 will land on gaming platforms at the end of November — just a little bit later than its initially rumoured 2010 release date. While Xbox and PlayStation 3 gamers will be able to bask safe in the knowledge that they'll be playing as soon as they get home from the shops, PC gamers should have a quick look at Ubisoft's suggested spec run-down:

  • RAM: 4GB

  • Video Card: 512 MB DirectX 9.0-compliant card with Shader Model 4.0 or higher

Recommended Specs

  • Processor: Intel Core i3-530 or AMD Phenom II X2 565 or better

  • RAM: 6GB

  • Video Card: 1024 MB DirectX 11-compliant card with Shader Model 4.0 or higher

Hi-Performance Specs

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K or AMD FX-4150 or better

  • RAM: 8GB
