Well, he used to be a contender for the Iron Throne anyway. Stannis Baratheon, the so-called One True King of Westeros, met his untimely demise at the end of the fifth season of HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones."

YouTube filmmaker M&M seems to have a thing for the bad guys of Westeros. He previously released a video that somehow imagined Ramsay Bolton -- the most twisted and sick person in Westeros -- as a good guy, and on Tuesday he uploaded this video tribute to the daughter-sacrificer and Lord of Dragonstone, Stannis Baratheon.

In the clip, M&M shows pretty much every single one of Stannis' onscreen appearances, pieced together to tell the story of the rise and fall of the man who will certainly never sit on the Iron Throne. A few pieces are out of order, certainly, but the clip paints a good, complete picture of the man who was once a top contender for the position.

The piece ends with Stannis' final words, when he tells Brienne of Tarth to do her duty and strike him down once and for all. It's a fitting tribute to a troubled character, one we likely won't be seeing next season (unless Brienne didn't burn his body, in which case all bets are off).

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 returns to HBO in the spring of 2016.
