Facebook Home launches April 12 on HTC, Samsung phones
Only select phones will get the Facebook Home skin off the bat. Facebook promises to add more phones down the line.

Facebook today launched Home, a family of apps and a skin that runs over Android. The company said users will be able to download the user interface from the Google Play store, and that links would be found in its Facebook and messenger apps.

In addition, HTC CEO Peter Chou unveiled the HTC First, which is the first phone preloaded with the Facebook user interface. It will also be available on April 12, for $99.99 as an exclusive to AT&T.
Facebook promised that more phones would eventually get access to the app, and that there would be monthly updates to add features and broader availability.
