Faber fume hood controls climate, air quality

Klima hood by Faber heats and cools while it purifies air over your stove

When I was growing up, my family loved to buy appliances that each had their own purpose: we had a popcorn machine to make popcorn for movie night, a citrus juicer to reap the benefits of freshly-squeezed orange juice, and a rice steamer for, well, you get the idea.

But there is a growing trend in appliance design, and it is marked by the arrival of multitaskers. Appliances are now being bred for multiple jobs: ovens are now expected to steam, microwaves are expected to bake and roast, and many countertop appliances are able to grill, toast, bake, and warm.

Joining the multifunctional family is this fume hood by Faber. Named the Klima, the dual-function hood controls the climate in your kitchen while it purifies the air above your stove. Offering four settings for fume extraction at 270, 420, 580 and 715 m3/h and both temperature-controlled heating and cooling, the Klima makes the front of the stove a more comfortable place to stand. It also includes sound-absorbing panels and an energy diffuser, both of which make it run quietly enough to keep running 24 hours a day.

The Faber Klima is available in black or silver on Faber's Web site.
