A number of MacFixIt readers and posters to Apple's Discussion boards are reporting extremely slow access to the iTunes music store under iTunes 6.0.2 -- a problem that may or may not be related to the latest release.

MacFixIt reader David writes:

"There is an increasing number of people reporting problems connecting to the iTMS shortly (though not immediately) after installing iTunes 6.0.2. (I'm one of them). All other internet connections are running fine but connecting to the iTMS is so slow as to be unusable."

Meanwhile, a poster (Masher) to Apple's Discussion boards adds:

"I'm having the same problem. Things seemed okay until I upgraded to the latest iTunes update. Now it takes ages to logon and downloading song ( if it manages it at all ) takes longer than when I was on the standard dial-up modem."
