Eudora Pro and Appearance extension problem in Mac OS 7

Eudora Pro 4.0b57 installs Appearance Extension 1.0.2 (replacing the 1.0 version included with Mac OS 8). This is an essential extension for Mac OS 8. It also loads in Mac OS 7. Jim Carr did not note any problems due to the extension in Mac OS 8. However, Allan Levy noted a problem when running Eudora in Mac OS 7. For example, with 7.6, the Mac crashed at startup. Qualcomm told him: "Yes. There is a bug in the Appearance Manager which Apple has already fixed and we are testing it in beta right now. It will be available to the public sometime soon."
