Epson Stylus Photo 1200 driver printing bug

CNET staff
Pete Kunasz has received confirmation from Epson tech support of a problem with the Epson Stylus Photo 1200 USB driver for Mac (which may also exist with the 1200 serial driver). The problem is that, when printing a page of text, the last letter or part of a letter on the right hand margin may be cut off. This may occur on 4 to 10 lines on a printed page. It occurs in SimpleText and Word documents, and will probably occur in other word processing programs. Also, if you have another (different) Epson driver loaded in the same System Folder, the Photo 1200 driver will cause the other Epson driver to produce the same irregular results. Epson says their tech support is working on the problem.
Update: Scott Aronian writes: "I had the same problem printing from AppleWorks and the solution was to turn on 'Fractional Character Widths' from AppleWork's Preferences."
