Entourage 2004: Duplication of certain events in Calendar; more

MacFixIt reader Neil A. Busis notes two new issues with Entourage 2004, for which we are seeking confirmation:

Duplication of certain events in Entourage 2004 Calendar Busies writes "I populated the Entourage Calendar by synchronizing it with my Palm Tungsten T3 (Office 2004 conduit, set to "handheld overwrites Entourage, Palm Desktop 4.2.1). In the 'Day' view and the Sunday of the 'Week' view, all-day events that are set to recur daily (each day for a week for example) are duplicated. That is to say, they are listed twice - but only in those views. There are no duplicated events in the first day of the 'Work Week' view or in the 'Month' view. All-day events that are not set to recur are only listed once, as they should be. Interestingly enough, if you import the Entourage Calendar into iCal, the events are displayed properly, without duplication."

Inability to use "Automatic" Network Location properly "I have my PowerBook set to Automatic location, with Airport, Telephone Modem, Bluetooth Modem and Ethernet options. Entourage 2004 logs onto my POP server when the computer is on the Airport network without problems. However, Entourage can't log onto the POP server or send mail when I attempt to use the dial-up connection or the Bluetooth modem with the Airport turned off or with no wireless network available. The workaround is to have separate locations for telephone modem, Bluetooth modem, Airport and switch to the appropriate network before starting Entourage. Entourage X did fine with the Automatic location setting and so does the current Apple Mail client and Eudora 6.1.1. These three mail clients just found the working network and used it. Entourage 2004 can't."
