Computer services company Electronic Data Systems on Thursday said Douglas Frederick, executive vice president and president of its Operations Solutions business, has left the company. Frederick's responsibilities will be assumed, on an interim basis, by Jeff Heller, EDS' president and chief operating officer. Frederick's departure is part of a broader management shake-up at EDS, which is struggling to recover from a series of bumps, including a drastic earnings shortfall last year, news of troubled contracts and a . In March, EDS replaced CEO Dick Brown with former CBS chief Michael Jordan.

The operations solutions unit, EDS' largest, offers information technology outsourcing, communications services and business process outsourcing. In the first quarter, EDS' operations solutions revenue was $3.58 billion, flat at constant currency versus the year-ago quarter. EDS overall posted revenue of $5.37 billion.
