Display bug in Finder revealed

CNET staff
Scott Comstock has found an unusual bug in build 4L13 that will few users will stumble upon by accident, but we found it interesting nonetheless. He writes:

"It appears that when viewing a folder's contents in list view, if you try to change the name of a folder or file and backspace too far, the Finder will insert the contents of the clipboard. Here are the steps to reproduce it.

    1. Copy a snippet of text onto the clipboard.
    2. In the list view, create a new folder on the desktop.
    3. Click once on the "untitled folder" to edit the folder's name. Place the insertion bar directly to the left of the 'u' in 'untitled' and hit the backspace key.
    4. 'untitled' will be replaced with the text from the clipboard.

We can reproduce this in any folder on the computer, on any file or folder assuming you are in list view. This does not occur in icon view or paned view."
