Using Discribe with Que! drives If you are unhappy with the latest Toast 4.0.2 update and you have a Que! drive, Ed Wakabayashi suggests checking out the latest version of Discribe. Ed has a QPS Que! 4x2x8 USB CD-RW and Discribe works with it just fine. However, Ed adds: "There is a demo for Discribe on the Web site but this version does not work with the Que. The Que requires a special driver and shim which Charismac emailed to me when I ordered Discribe." EskapeLabs software David Gustavson found that Apple DVD Player version 1.3 (on a bronze keyboard PowerBook G3) refuses to run, claiming it can't find the necessary hardware, if the USB Video Digitizer v2.0.240y extension (from EskapeLabs software) is installed. He adds: "The EskapeLabs system requires a defragmented drive for recording, it may take 10-30 minutes to start recording otherwise!" AirPort and Windows MacWindows has an article on Using Apple's AirPort Base Station with Windows PCs by Henry Norr. Norr discusses several Airport-compatible cards for PCs, as well as Configuring the Apple Base Station without a Mac using AirPort configuration utilities written for Windows.
