Going beyond custom alerts for various events on your Pebble watch, one of the more fun uses for the Pebble smartwatch is the ability to create and use custom watch faces. Up until now, iOS users have had to rely on browsing watch faces using Safari. The process is a bit tedious and it's easy to forget where you saw a particular watch face. Enter MyPebbleFaces.

What started as a fan Web site to curate Pebble watch faces has turned into a free iOS app where iPhone users can browse available faces and install them directly on their watch.

The app works really well for discovering new watch faces, although I've had some issues with the filter and search feature when searching for a watch face I created (using this post as a guide) and uploaded to the service.

There's two steps required to install a watch face you find in the app on your Pebble. The first one is downloading the face within the app. After it's downloaded you need to visit the Downloads tab (at the bottom) and tap on the watch face you want to install, select to open it in the Pebble app, and follow the prompts from there.

The app itself is free, with a few in-app purchases available for things like push notifications, ability to scan QR codes from other watch face sites, and extending the filtering option for faces.

Download MyPebbleFaces from the App Store and get to sprucing up your watch.
