Different version of PGP: what's the availability?; what's the differences?

We have received several emails about exactly how available is PGP Desktop Security 7.0 and what the differences are among the different versions of PGP. Here is the answer direct from PGP: "PGP Desktop Security is the 'enterprise' version of PGP. It includes lots of administration features that are not in the other two versions of the product. These features are not useful to home users, but they're also certainly not harmful. To say 'PGP 7 is for corporate users on a network only' (as one email to MacFixIt suggested) is not so. PGP 7 has 3 different editions: enterprise (called Desktop Security), retail (called Personal Privacy), and freeware. Right now, only the Desktop Security version is available. The other editions will be available shortly. I would agree that certainly from a price perspective, your average home user should wait for the retail version."
