Speaking at a press conference in Japan, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer . He suggested that Vista will "definitely" ship next year, but perhaps not in January, as Microsoft has previously said. Instead, Ballmer said the ship date could depend on when hardware manufacturers want to receive the software, and, uh, on "when it's ready." Yeah, I think that last part seems to be the sticky wicket, Steve-o.
