Microsoft on Thursday delivered the beta version of Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the 2007 Microsoft Office System. The toolkit will enable developers to create applications for the upcoming Office 2007 update, which is set for launch in early 2007.

The test software, known officially as Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition Beta, now provides add-in support for PowerPoint and Visio. The earlier Visual Studio tools for Office covered Outlook, Excel, Word and InfoPath plus support for key 2007 Office System features.
