Descent 3 Demo: OpenGL removed; OpenGL glitch with two video cards

Regarding the new 1.1.2 version of OpenGL included in the Descent 3 Demo (see previous report):

OpenGL removed Joseph Snodgrass notes that the Descent 3 demo has been "updated" to version 2. It no longer includes the beta Open GL 1.1.2 drivers and the newer ATI drivers (that were part of the new OpenGL installation).

OpenGL glitch with two video cards Eric Prentice writes: "Descent claims to not be able to find Open GL extensions in my System Folder and requires a RAGE 128 card. I do have both of those in my G3/BW. It turns out that the problem lies in the fact I have a second video card that is not RAGE 128. Even through the demo lets you choose a monitor, choosing the one with RAGE 128 doesn't make a difference. Removing the additional video card allows it to function properly."

Bud Kuenzli adds: "It makes no difference if the two cards are different or if the second card is also a Rage card. My machine has two ATI 128 cards installed by Apple and Descent will not run on it."

Update: Two readers now report having no problems running the Decent Demo with a multi-monitor setup.
