Deleting Launcher item crashes Finder

Charles Mangin found a problem with Apple's Launcher. It has probably been around for awhile although we have not reported it before.

It you try to delete a Launcher item by dragging the icon from the Launcher to an alias of the Trash icon (stored in a location other than the desktop), the Finder will quit and crash. I tried it and it happened to me.
