DataViz replies on AppleWorks conflict; "short term solution" posted

Regarding problems with MacLinkPlus and AppleWorks 6.0.3, we initially posted an item today stating that DataViz told Ron Parker to expect a compatibility update by July 15. DataViz informs us that this is not correct. We apologize for any error. However, some fix is in the works, and a short term solution is already available. Here is the statement from DataViz: AppleWorks 6.0.3 prevents the MacLinkPlus translators from converting a file from within the Save As menu in AppleWorks 6.0.3 (Everything works in AppleWorks 6.0). Instead, a ClarisWorks 4 file is created. The problem is in AppleWorks 6.0.3 not MacLinkPlus. Apple is aware of the issue, and they are looking into it. The information about a fix from DataViz by July 15 is incorrect. When a solution is found DataViz will post it on our web site as well as notify MacFixIt."
