Meridian, Idaho-based Crucial Technology, a division of memory chipmaker Micron Technology, has added the 128MB MultiMediaCard (MMC) to its line of removable flash memory cards. The storage cards are available immediately for around $99 and are designed for use in devices such as digital cameras, handheld computers and digital audio players. MultiMediaCards can be read by slots, or readers, for the competing flash memory Secure Digital card format, but Secure Digital cards cannot be read by MultiMediaCard readers.
