Creating PDF restores desktop printers: one final follow-up

We received this note from Adobe regarding the recent items we posted under the title "Create Adobe PDF restores desktop printers?" (See previous one and two.) Mark Barnes writes:

"Acrobat 5 installs the latest version of AdobePS (8.7.2) which has some code changes necessary for CarbonLib compatibility. Due to< variances in the Desktop Printer Architecture (Part of the Finder) in different versions of MacOS, users may need to trash existing desktop printers and configure them anew after installing a new version of AdobePS or updating the MacOS. For Desktop Printers created with AdobePS driver plug-ins (like Virtual Printer or Create AdobePDF), this happens automatically when either "Page Setup" or "Print" are selected while running an application. It may also help to trash the AdobePS Prefs and Plugin Prefs files in the Printing Preferences folder. As always, we work with Apple to address these issues."
