Crave giveaway: Seiki 50-inch 4K/Ultra High Definition TV

This week, retailer TigerDirect.com is offering up a free HDTV. Yeah, you can't beat that.

Congrats to Adam G. of New York, N.Y., for winning last week's giveaway -- an Amzer Shatterproof Screen Protector, plus a $50 Amzer gift card. This week, we've got a big prize. Fifty inches big.

Online retailer TigerDirect.com is giving away a 50-inch 4K (2160p) HDTV from Chinese OEM Seiki.

The biggest thing to note about the Seiki SE50UY04 is probably its retail price of $1,500, which breaks new low-pricing ground for a TV with 4K/Ultra High Definition resolution (then again, you don't need to worry about cost, as you're getting it for the very low price of free).

The flat-panel LED-based LCD TV's got simple styling and a basic feature set, but CNET reviewer David Katzmaier reports that it looks good from up close with 4K-compatible PC games and has decent color accuracy. Read his full review for more on the TV's specs and the general question of what the extra resolution of 4K gets you.

So what do you need to do to get this set into your living room? There are a few rules from our official makers of rules, so please read carefully.

  • Register as a CNET user. Go to the top of this page and hit the "Join CNET" link to start the registration process. If you're already registered, there's no need to register again.
  • Leave a comment below. You can leave whatever comment you want. If it's funny or insightful, it won't help you win, but we're trying to have fun here, so anything entertaining is appreciated.
  • Leave only one comment. You may enter for this specific giveaway only once. If you enter more than one comment, you will be automatically disqualified.
  • The winner will be chosen randomly. The winner will receive one (1) Seiki SE50UY04 50-inch TV from TigerDirect.com with a retail value of $1,500.
  • If you are chosen, you will be notified via e-mail. The winner must respond within three days of the end of the sweepstakes. If you do not respond within that period, another winner will be chosen.
  • Entries can be submitted until Monday, September 16, 12 p.m. ET.

And here's the disclaimer that our legal department said we had to include (sorry for the caps, but rules are rules):

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. YOU HAVE NOT YET WON. MUST BE LEGAL RESIDENT OF ONE OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR D.C., 18 YEARS OLD OR AGE OF MAJORITY, WHICHEVER IS OLDER IN YOUR STATE OF RESIDENCE AT DATE OF ENTRY INTO SWEEPSTAKES. VOID IN PUERTO RICO, ALL U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS, AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Sweepstakes ends at 12 p.m. ET on Monday, September 16, 2013. See official rules for details.

Good luck.
