The system from Blast Motion, a maker of sports analytics tools, consists of a lightweight precision sensor that grips onto your waistband and captures metrics on jump acceleration, vertical height, rotation and hang time. It then represents that data with stats and grafs.
The sensor syncs via Bluetooth to a free companion iOS app that dynamically captures video, slowing down and speeding up based on your moves, and personalizes video highlights with overlaid metrics, creating ready-made sharable (aks braggable) footage.
So what do you have to do to win a $149.95 Blast Basketball Replay for free and get on your way to being the next big NBA star? There are some rules, so read them carefully before you bounce.
The Blast app captures video highlights of your jump shots and combines them with metrics from the Blast sensor to help you analyze your mechanics. It also suggests drills.
