Virtual Game Station updater; public release planned for Feb 1; Sony files suit Connectix' Sony PlayStation emulator, Virtual Game Station, has been updated to v. 1.1. Meanwhile, MacGaming.com states that Connectix plans to ship Game Station on February 1 (previously Connectix sold it only during Macworld Expo earlier this month). It will include a discount coupon for the Gravis Game Pad Pro for USB (updated drivers are already available although the product does not actually ship until March). MacGaming.com also posted Sony's press release describing the law suit Sony filed, requesting a temporary injunction against the sale of VGS. (Also see the SF Chronicle article.)
Mark Yoshinaka adds: "The 1.1 update is essential for all G3/Blue and White (G3/BW) owners who bought VGS at Macworld Expo because it solves the choppy video problems attributed to the new ATI Rage 128 video cards. After installing the update, VGS works great!"

Virtual PC updater Connectix released Virtual PC 2.1.2 Updater. A Windows updater is also posted. The updates adds support for the Imation USB SuperDisk and the VST USB Floppy Drive. It also fixes numerous bugs, as described in the Read Me file.
