Conflict Catcher 8.0.7 is out; install glitch and solution noted

Conflict Catcher 8.0.7 has been released. It has been updated for Mac OS 9.0.2-9.0.4. Many readers (including Bob Patterson, Rob Sirota, Eddie Strauss, Ernie Malaga and John Torrence) report, that when trying to install this update, they got a message that says: "The installed version of Conflict Catcher is already updated." The Installer then apparently fails to update; they wind up still running version 8.0.6. Jamie Loeb and Ronald Leroux suggest that it may be necessary to reinstall the 8.0 version (or at least a version older than 8.0.6) and update from that. Update: Thanks to more than two dozen readers (including Bob LeVitus, Mark Stern, Jeffrey Stowell and Steve Sell) who responded to this item within minutes of its posting! The consensus advice is: Hold down the Option key when launching the Updater. This will offer to save a Conflict Catcher folder that contains a full Installer. Then run the CC Installer application and all should go well. [This is noted in the Read Me file.] Jeff Robbin (of Casady & Greene) replies with the official statement: "It turns out that the 8.0.7 Updater application wasn't updated to understand 8.0.6. It'll upload 8.0.-8.0.5 to 8.0.7. A new version of the 8.0.7 Updater has been posted (as of 10:00 a.m. PT). There are no changes to the version of Conflict Catcher that gets installed, it's just an Updater fix."
