An acid-dusted gin-and-tonic shot is presented on a sugar-baked lime slice for maximum intergalactic cachet. A vanilla-laced glass of wine requires a class-four laser to create. A Pop Rocks burst of flavor assaults your tonsils at 600 psi.

Fantastic. Very Stanley Kubrick, very Marvin the Martian. But with all the chemical reactions and the heating some recipes demand, the centuries-old question remains: Will it get you drunk?
