Chevy unveils the Colorado Show Truck at the Bangkok motor show
Chevrolet unveiled the Colorado Show Truck at the Bangkok International Auto Show.
Chevrolet rolled out its latest midsize pickup truck last week at the Bangkok International Motor Show. The Colorado Show Truck features a body-on-frame, extended-cab body, leather-trimmed seats, and a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine. The AWD chassis rides on 20-inch wheels and off-road tires.
The current Colorado is sold in the United States and Asia, and is marketed as the Holden Colorado in Australia. The truck's sporty dual-port grille features a gold bowtie in the center and large headlights on the sides. The exterior is painted Pepperdust Metallic and includes polished aluminum details in the fascias and the integrated side steps.
From the black-masked projector-style headlights with LED lighting elements to the full-width LED-lit taillights, the Colorado offers a commanding presence.
According to GM, Thailand has the world's largest market for midsize pickups, so the Bangkok motor show was the best location to unveil the new Colorado.
"Around the globe, pickup trucks are associated with strength, capability and function--and that's exactly what the Colorado Show Truck embodies," said Ed Welburn, GM vice president of Global Design. "Its broad-shouldered proportions are derived from nearly a century of Chevrolet truck heritage."
The Colorado goes on sale in Thailand later this year.
