At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, it's always a battle over who gets what celebrity to appear at their party. While most of the time, the entertainment is a star in semi-retirement (I once saw "Gunsmoke" star Fess Parker trotted out for an event in the late '90s), companies increasingly shoot for contemporary stars.

This year, Intel has signed the Black Eyed Peas to play at its party taking place on Thursday, Jan. 5. The same night, Texas Instruments and rival AMD are throwing parties as well, so watch out for motherboard executives weaving in the crosswalks.
