Carbon or Cocoa: Does it matter?

REAL Software has posted an article titled "What's the difference between Carbon and Cocoa, and why should I care?." REAL Software explains: "Many people are confused by references to Carbon and Cocoa. Geoff Perlman explains what they are, what impact they have on you as a Mac user, and what that means to users of REALbasic." The article makes a case for why Cocoa is not any "better" than Carbon as a basis for writing OS X software.
