Canon Releases OS X scanner drivers

Yesterday we reported that newly shipping, boxed Canon scanners at retail outlets may include the new Mac OS X driver: CanoScan Scangear 8.0X.

The updated driver is now available on Canon's support site, offering support for a broad variety of Canon scanners under Mac OS X 10.1.3-10.2.x.

For more information and a download, select your scanner model from the Canon driver page. Note that not all supported models list the CanoScan update. Try selecting a different model if your's does not display the new 8.0X version.
