Call of Duty fans eager to learn more about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer mode are going to have to wait until September, it seems. While the game's E3 2016 showing next week will focus on campaign, Activision will formally unveil multiplayer footage for Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty 4's remastered version during September's Call of Duty XP event.

Announced today, Call of Duty XP 2016 is a community event that takes place at the Forum in Inglewood, California, from September 2-4. Activision will not only showcase multiplayer for Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty Remastered at the event, but fans, for the first time, will get to go hands-on with the games (including Infinite Warfare's new Zombies mode), as well as the next Black Ops III expansion.

Additionally, Call of Duty XP attendees will get to check out a Call of Duty VR experience that puts fans (virtually) inside the cockpit of the Jackal spaceship from Infinite Warfare.

Attendees can also take part in a Nuketown-inspired paintball match, while people can also try their hand at "Zombies laser tag" and other events. There will be developer panels featuring Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer Games, a photo booth, an onside Call of Duty armory and "franchise museum," and a "surprise musical guest," too.

The Call of Duty World League Championship will also take place during the show. Thirty-two of the world's best teams will compete for $2 million in prizes.

Tickets for Call of Duty XP 2016 go on sale on June 11, starting at 10 a.m. PT. Options include (including official descriptions from Activision):

  • Enlisted Ticket: $49 - General Admission seating for three days of the Call of Duty World League Championship, Presented by PlayStation 4 and access to Call of Duty XP gameplay and activities
  • Veteran Ticket: $129 - General Admission seating for three days of the Call of Duty World League Championship, Presented by PlayStation 4, access to Call of Duty XP gameplay and activities, the $80 digital Legacy edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and a Care Package with exclusive Call of Duty XP swag
  • Prestige Ticket: $199 - Scheduled activities and gameplay, VIP line for activities and gameplay, Player Meet and Greets, access to the VIP lounge, parking pass, premium seating for the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer reveal and Call of Duty World League Championship, Presented by PlayStation 4, a $100 Digital Deluxe version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and a Care Package with exclusive Call of Duty XP swag

Note that these prices do not include additional service fees. Additionally, all tickets also come with digital content for Black Ops III and Infinite Warfare in the form of a calling card and a weapon camo for each game.

Infinite Warfare launches on November 4 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Call of Duty Remastered is also coming out then, but the only way to get it is to buy one of the premium versions of Infinite Warfare.
