After many teases and hints, Activision has confirmed that the next title in the Call of Duty series will be Call of Duty: Ghosts, which is said to arrive on 5 November.

The game is being made for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, and Activision has confirmed that the title will "be available for next generation platforms" as well.

In addition to today's teaser trailer, more footage will be shown as part of Microsoft's next-generation Xbox event on 22 May.

Activision has said that Ghosts will have a new story, new gameplay and new characters, as well as "a new, next generation Call of Duty engine that redefines the series for the next generation".
