When botnets do battle for your desktop, you lose. But we still find it kind of cool. Google Buzz on the other hand, we're not so sure about -- mainly because we just want to try it out and it turns out we've now been opted in to all kinds of public information and sharing our email addresses and all this weird stuff. But I guess if Google gave is gigabit-per-second Internet access, we might feel better about things. Oh, and Warner Music is turning into a bird. Long story. --Molly

Hey Buzz crew

I was just thinking. Everyone has been asking for a use of google
wave. Why not use google wave as a way to access tech support? You
can put customers with similar problems in the same wave with an
expert and you can sort of open source the issue to others. This is
probably for the more advance user so the success of the concept would
depend upon interface. In other words one button access.

Love the show.

It appears that with the Google Buzz roll out, Google just made everyone’s Gmail contact list public for anyone with a public profile page. This happened because they defaulted to following all of your Gmail contacts, and displaying your ‘follows’ list on your profile page. You can opt out of displaying the people you follow on your profile page, but if you have some sensitive contact, such as a doctor, that has their own public profile page, it looks like you will now show up as their follower. Has anyone else noticed this?

Love the show,
Jon

Hi Molly!

great to have you back on BOL full time! you asked for a demolition man tech page (one of my favorite movies btw) so here it is! I’ll start putting in everything I can think of tonight but please tell everyone to fill it in.
