Hey Buzz Crew,

First, bummed about the weekly show, sigh…..

Second, regarding yesterday caller about Sony being late to the game with their walkman because she has a Droid X:

That sounds great for her, but as someone who doesn’t own a smartphone this is exactly what I’m looking for. A wi-fi device that gives me the Android Marketplace and great MP3 player. This is really the first iPod Touch-like Android that’s being released like that and there are tons of people who want it (just look up the positive responses for the Samsung Galaxy Player that is yet to be seen stateside).

As far as the price goes, sure it sounds like a lot, but I’ll be sitting pretty with my $250 spent while the caller paid $199 for their phone, plus $29.99 a month for 24 months on contract for data (totalling ~$920). You enjoy that phone while I use all my apps and music that extra ~$670 paid for.

Love the Show!

Hey Buzz Crew,

I don't know if you've mentioned this as I'm a few shows behind, but this is the 1st daily deal I've received from Amazon. Not only that, I don't remember ever signing up to receive deals from Amazon. So if Amazon is going to get into the daily deal space and just push our deals to their entire customer base I think Groupon and the other deal services may really be in trouble.

Hello Buzz Crew,

Just a couple of suggestions for the format change. First, as an homage to the soon-to-be extinct daily schedule, you could introduce the new show as “”CNET’s podcast of predetermined length”" as opposed to something more pedestrian as “”hour-long”". Also, budget permitting, it might be a good opportunity to update the show’s logo. (something with a vintage microphone perhaps?)
