Hi Buzz Crew…

i need an answer from the buzz out loud crew…my source of all things tech news. :)

Why does netflix have some movies streaming and some movies available only for dvd? I realize they have seperate pricing now but some of my favorites like the blair witch project and the star wars movies are only available on dvd. Why is that? Someone wrote in yahoo answers that some movies are not allowed to be streamed online and i’m like what is the difference how i watch my movie as long as i pay for it?

Thanks

Love the show

Hi Molly and Brian! Love the show, I had a few opinions on the moto mashup.
1.Googorola should be their next flavor of android 2. I LOVE Windows phone and I think Samsung/ Htc has all the right reasons to move more towards windows phone. The deal with nokia will make wp7 relevant, Microsoft has shown interest in a strong alliance and, if google decides to cut out OEMs from android, Sammy and HTC will have Microsoft to fall back on.
3. This puts Microsoft in a good situation b/c they will validate THEIR very closed OS system (unified experience) and will force others (OEM) to lean on them.
Love the show! Windows Phone is AWESOME! (Molly, you shoulda grabbed a sammy focus) Brandon

Hey buzz crew love the show. On yesterdays show you were wondering what was going to happen to rim.
here is my prediction. Rim is very soon going to realize their ship is sinking. Make a buck and run before the three big players run you out of town broke. It would not surprise me if HP buys rim. Rim has a foot hold in enterprise and that’s where HP also has a strong presence. WebOS isn’t trying to compete with android or apple. They’ve been gunning after rim since the palm pre came out. WebOS combined with rim would make a powerful business phone that could also be marketed to consumers. It would be a win win situation. WebOS had been trying to get push notifications and other black berry style functions. So HP should let Rim sink more and pick up that company at bargain basement price.. Like they did Palm. Just saying that’s my uneducated educated prediction.
Keep up the good show. -Josh-

Hey Buzz Crew,

Regarding Googorola, I guess Apple will have to escalate and just buy the US gov’t so that they can own the USPTO and do anything they want. Plus, they can literally threaten nuclear armageddon if other companies don’t play nice.

Love the show!

Dear Buzz Out Loud Crew;
I have been a long time listener, going all the way back to the days before Veronica ever spoke. This is my second ever email to your show.
I was bemused by the shock and outrage expressed over the BART shutting off cell service and the disbelief that it happened in San Francisco. Really? If I had to pick a spot in the US where this would be most likely, San Francisco would be in my top five. I mean, isn’t this the same place that banned those other scourges of humanity, goldfish and Happy Meals?
Love The Show!
