Buzz Out Loud 1508: Google + is now 10 million strong (Podcast)

Google + is making some changes, but hopefully it's only going to keep the G+ train going: estimates have it at 10 million users and on track for 20 million by this weekend. Yeah, no, really. Plus, Netflix makes a change that makes us sing and pushes you toward either DVDs or streaming, but probably not both. Plus, happy anniversary, Neptune!

EMAILS

Hi BOL-crew.

The paying Spotify customers in Europe gets invites, so they can invite friends without going through Spotify.
I hope this will work when Spotify comes to the U.S market. If it works I´ll be happy to send the three of you one invite each so you can use this fantastic service we have been using for many years :)

Keep up the good work.

Best regards
Robin from Sweden

Regarding Spotify invites, if the U.S. Spotify will be run like here in Europe, the invites are only needed for the ad-supported free service, anyone can start paying the monthly fee for the paid version. As far as I know the invites are sent by paying customers, so you need at least an initial number of subscribers to get the invites spread around…

Brian, you made me feel less bad about myself. I too have been wanting a dedicated reader and love the size and shape of the new nook, plus all my books are already thought B&N. My problem is that I’m already becoming “that guy” at 18. I have a G2, iPad 1, 15″ MacBook Pro, and a CR-48. The discussion has proven they are not the same device, e-readers and tablets, and that they both have a place. Plus I’m still not as bad as Molly, Sony dash! NO NAME KEEP IT!
