Buzz Out Loud 1498: Violent video games ok, "Cars 2" NOT (Podcast)
The U.S. Supreme Court strikes down California's attempt to ban the sale of violent video games to minors, arguing that the current ratings system is enough to let parents make informed decisions about what to buy. Unlike the MPAA's rating system, which led me and my 4-year-old to "Cars 2." Thanks for that, MPAA. Also, LulzSec tucks its puppykicker tail and runs away, but not before hacking a librarian and book-sharing Website. Nice.

EMAILS
Hey Buzz Crew,
This has happened to me twice and I’m starting to think it’s not my faulty memory. Twice now, while going through my feed, I have found entries by companies in which I did not ‘like’ their pages on Facebook. I know for a fact that I didn’t. When pressing the “”x”" at the right, my options are to hide or ‘unlike’ the page.
I think Facebook is deciding for me what pages I SHOULD be liking. This is NOT good.
Regards,
Thomas Deliduka (Tomnibus in the chatroom whenever I do have time to show up)

Hey Buzz Crew-
Being that we all love Molly and many of us have been here since little Cylon Eli came into this universe- I feel it is necessary to help Molly find a tech spin and RESEARCHED and PUBLISHED proof that Cars 2 should NOT be rated G but PG…
Whole article is about TV, but you can easily substitute movies for TV:
http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/27/tv-affects-sleep-of-preschoolers/?hpt=hp_t2
Molly, read the tweets, hadn’t seen Cars 2 yet- but feel you are 100% right, torture of *ANY* kind to anything is not G. Someone failed at the movie board and more so at Disney/Pixar.
Hope this does become the controversy it should…
Cheers & Beers (That’s 18 & up only here in the UK thank you) from Oxford!

Hi BOL,
I’m a long time listener, so I’ve been following your coverage of Lulzsec. I’m not on the playstation network and not apart of any contentious government organizations, so I thought I was pretty safe. I was very surprised when I got an email telling me that my email and password from an undisclosed site was released by Lulzsec. Sure enough, my logon information was released as apart of the 62,000 released a couple of weeks ago. On their page they claim not to know where the logons came from, but I recognized the password I used – It was for a website called Writerspace, where authors large and small can connect with readers, there are prizes and giveaways, comments and topics, workshops and advice, that sort of thing. It’s got to be one of the most harmless places on the whole internet! It’s for librarians and book nerds. I’ll be it was REALLY REALLY tough breaking through Romance Fan’s security. Who else will Lolzsec punish for daring to participate in the interwebs? I think i have accounts at both Lolcats AND Puppycams, so clearly I’m still in danger.
Love the show!
